Itinerary Summary

Nairobi is a city full of contrasts – skyscrapers, shopping malls, matatus and colorful markets! Enjoy a cold Tusker or follow into the footsteps of Karen Blixen; watch orphaned elephants being fed at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or come to a closer encounter with a giraffe in the Giraffe Centre. There are loads of ways to experience this lively and vibrant capital city.

Do you know the movie ‘Born Free’? It is about the true story of Joy and George Adamson releasing the lioness Elsa into the wild and maintaining a friendship even after Elsa was set free. Elsa’s Kopje is built into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released Elsa, long before conservation became fashionable. Game drives will take you through forests, past giant baobab trees, through clear spring fed streams lined with palms. Mery is lion and elephant country, but you also might see rare species such as caracal, the beautiful Lesser Kudu and aardwolf. At the end of the day relax at the infinity pool, located on the side of the hill! Views that are indeed infinite!

Picture a place of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers. This is Samburu, home to the endangered Grevy’s zebra, the rare beisa Oryx and large herds of elephant. Game drives usually take place along the banks of the river where the game come to drink and bath. Discover Samburu on a camel safari and guided bush walks and get an enlightening insight into the local culture during a village visit. Enjoy this serene and peaceful place.

See the Big Five on your safari in Kenya. The Masai Mara is the perfect destination. Enjoy a balloon safari with fabulous panoramic aerial views; don’t forget the sumptuous champagne breakfast after your safe landing. You gain a different perspective on nature through an escorted bush walks – see the spoor of a leopard or the nest of a rare bird. Your guide will point out the many little things that would pass unnoticed by the untrained eye.  Enjoy a sundowner after your safari in Kenya adventure during the day – traditionally with a G+T at hand.
