Itinerary Summary

WINDHOEK – 1 NIGHT

Windhoek – the heart of Namibia! It is a friendly and welcoming place and can easily be explored on foot. Visit the various places of interest such as the Museum, the National Art Gallery, the “Tintenpalast”, the National Botanical Research Institute (and its gardens) and the Zoo Gardens. Windhoek offers an harmonious blend of African and European cultures and you will be surprised how clean it is. It offers all modern amenities that conform to some of the world’s highest standards.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK EAST – 2 NIGHTS

Safari Namibia takes you to Etosha National Park. Etosha is home to large herds of zebra, springbok and Oryx. Elephants and lions are common in the park and with a bit of luck you will also catch the elusive leopard hiding in the densely vegetated areas. Etosha is rich in contrast – wide-open grasslands, a massive saltpan and large camel thorn tree mixed with Mopani trees. Mushara Lodge is only 8km from the gate and the ideal spot from where to explore the park. Relax in the shade under the trees or at the pool after an exciting safari day.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK SOUTH – 2 NIGHTS

Wildlife in Etosha National Park is best seen at the many waterholes scattered throughout the park – especially during the dry winter months. Although some are teeming with wildlife, others are relatively quiet. We recommend to take a picnic that you can make the most of your time in the park. After your Etosha adventure return to the lodge to relax, take a refreshing dip in the pool, enjoy your dinner under the African starry sky or sit next to a crackling campfire listening to the sounds of the wild. Your day couldn’t be better.

DAMARALAND – 2 NIGHTS

Explore Damaraland on a guided nature walk to see the smaller details of the bush up close and personal. A visit of Twyfelfontein is also a worthy stop on your Safari Namibia. Its wealth of ancient rock art and the natural Organ Pipes are simply beautiful. Spend a day foraging, walking and learning from the San bushmen tribe. For a very special treat visit the Desert Elephants that so perfectly adapted to the desert climate. Damaraland is rather unexplored and the scenery is rugged and untamed – one of the most scenic you will find on your Safari Namibia.

SWAKOPMUND – 2 NIGHTS

We love Swakopmund! It has an ambience of a small German village combined with palm-lined streets, seaside promenades, fine accommodation, a pleasant summer climate and decent beaches. Stroll around town and discover its many historic sites: the Hohenzollern Building, the Marine memorial, the War memorial in memory of those killed in World War 2. Princess Rupprecht House originally a military hospital is now a private guest house. Worth seeing is also the State House (Kaiserliches Bezirksgericht) and the Swakop Lighthouse which has been fully functional since 1902. If this is a bit to tame for you, then go sand boarding, quad biking, dune carting, parachuting or hot air ballooning, shark fishing, deep-sea fishing or beach angling. The choice is yours.

SOSSUSVLEI – 2 NIGHTS

Who does not picture fiery red sand dunes when thinking of a Safari to Namibia? The highest dunes in the world, reaching up to 300m, are best explored at sunrise or sunset! A kaleidoscope of color will greet you – from a vivid pink and a bright orange to a fiery red. Make sure your camera’s battery is fully charged as some wonderful photographic opportunities are waiting for you. A special treat is your night at the Namib Dune Star Camp. Wheel your bed onto your private balcony for a night under the glittering sky of Namibia.

KALAHARI – 1 NIGHT

The Kalahari’s true attraction lies in the eerie silence and solitude. Although you will find a good amount of wildlife here, do not expect the big game. Enjoy sparsely grassed plains and open spaces and be in peace with you and mother nature. It is also a great location to meet the San bushmen, who still retain some of their specific cultural characteristics and traditional way of surviving in the desert. Their very interesting and unique ‘click’ language will be music to your ears; a wonderful experience in itself.

GOCHEGANAS NATURE RESERVE – 2 NIGHTS

The last stop on your Safari Namibia is GocheGanas Nature Reserve. It’s situated on a hilltop overlooking a spectacular landscape. It offers a unique combination of wildlife, nature and wellness. The perfect ending of an amazing Safari Namibia. Explore the tranquil surroundings and stunning landscapes on bushwalks and guided game drives; relax in the wellness centre and if you can’t get enough of the night sky enjoy some fantastic star gazing.
