LUSAKA – 1 NIGHT
The capital of Zambia is Lusaka. It is a lively little town and the centre of government. You can easily explore the few point of interests such as the Lusaka National Museum, the Political Museum, the Zintu Community Museum, the Freedom Statue, the Zambian National Assembly or the Moore Pottery Factory. The thrill of your walking safaris starts the following morning…
SOUTH LUANGWA – 2 NIGHTS
You explore Zambia’s pristine wilderness South Luangwa on foot with a Norman Carr guide. They are widely regarded as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable in Zambia. Many were trained by Norman Carr himself, who was the founding father of the now famous walking safaris in Zambia. You will have breath-taking wildlife encounters. Don’t be surprised if you spot elephants and other wildlife in the centre of the camp.
SOUTH LUANGWA – 2 NIGHTS
To enjoy the range of scenery and game, we recommend to spending time in two areas of South Luangwa. Mchenja Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Luangwa River. It is the perfect destination to complete Norman Carr walking safaris. Game viewing in this area is superb and night game drives are usually very worthwhile. Tip: Take a bath while enjoying romantic river views.
LOWER ZAMBEZI – 2 NIGHTS
Lower Zambezi is relatively undeveloped and you will be stunned by its absolute state of wilderness. Kasaka River Lodge is a short 15 minutes drive from the park entrance. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Watch the game wandering in and out of the Zambezi Channel on boat safaris. A massive wildlife sanctuary is waiting for you as the park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe.
MANA POOLS – 3 NIGHTS
‘Mana’ means ‘four’ in the local Shona language making reference to the four large pools inland from the Zambezi River. It is a must-visit park and you will see an abundance of game along the flood plain: eland, elephant, African wild dogs, water buck, big herds of buffalo, kudu, lion and leopard. It is certainly a dream safari! You also have the opportunity to canoe, go on a motorised pontoon boat-safari or do another of the famous walking safaris.
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK – 3 NIGHTS
You explore this remote wilderness on exciting game drives and on walks with highly experienced guides. Hwange has a tremendous density of wildlife: over 20.000 elephants, 17.000 buffalos, 5.000 antelopes and 3.000 giraffes were counted here. The Hide is in a perfect location. It is just meters across a natural waterhole allowing you to have stunning wildlife views from your verandah. You don’t have to roam far to be part of the action.
VICTORIA FALLS – 2 NIGHTS
Of course, the highlight are the mighty thundering Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders in the World. You have no shortage of exciting activities to do. Bungee jump of the Victoria Falls Bridge.
